Is Cracking Your Fingers a Good or a Bad Thing?

Probably you’ve been advised many times not to crack your fingers, because you’ll supposedly damage them over time. Is this really true?

Is Cracking Your Fingers a Good or a Bad Thing
In our joints there is a synovial fluid that acts as a lubricant. Scientists believe that what cause the cracking are small air bubbles that exist in the fluid. However, this year they managed to prove that even this theory is incorrect.
This year, for the first time an X-ray was taken that showed how cracking of the fingers really looks like.

How does the cracking of the fingers looks like can be seen at 0:44 seconds of the video, and the good news is that scientists have found that by cracking your fingers you are not at risk to break or damage something.
A study from 2015 confirmed the same. The study included 215 people, ages from 59 to 80 years old. Researchers have observed these people for five years and found out that there was no link between the “cracking” fingers and arthritis, as was previously believed.
So you have nothing to worry about.
