Veterinarian’s License Suspended After Bragging About Killing Neighbor’s Cat With Bow And Arrow

Here’s something so bizarre that it will put you in complete confusion and disbelief. An animal veterinarian. One who naturally has a love of animals. Specifically, dogs and cats, as those are the most common type of animal that they treat and care for on a daily basis.
So how in the world does a licensed and trained animal vet, not only purposefully kill a cat with a bow and arrow, but then proceed to brag about it on social media?
Such is the bizarre and twisted tale of one sick lady named Kristen Lindsey.

Kristen apparently spots what she labels as a “feral” cat in her backyard. She then proceeds to actually kill the animal, by shooting an arrow through its skull. Then she makes the decision to post what she did, dead cat photo and all, on social media. She is smiling and very proud of herself in the photo, and as her caption proves.

Now, we live in a world where wild animal “sport” killing does take place and is highly criticized by animal lovers. But for a backyard kill, performed by a supposed animal loving and caring vet, to not only be willfully executed, but then bragged about, is really beyond comprehension.
Here’s this sicko’s unbelievable caption to her “kill”:
“My first bow kill… lol. The only good feral tomcat is one with an arrow through it’s (sic) head. Vet of the year award… gladly accepted.”

Vet of the year award? To add insult to injury, it turns out the cat was not feral at all. It was the neighbor’s pet. And it was named Tiger.

Right away, her veterinary license was stripped, and she was quickly fired from Brenham Animal Clinic.
Despite pathetic arguments in front of the Texas Board of Veterinary Examiners that she thought the cat was feral, as well as stating her financial hardships, her attempt to get her license renewed was of course a complete failure.

Apparently rape and death threats she says have occurred after her cat killing and boasting had surfaced online. Lawyer Brian Bishop blamed it all on the “social media age” claiming that feral animal killing was common in her community, while failing to understand that when you put something on the internet, you are putting it out to the entire world. If you want to brag about it within your community, take polaroid pictures and go door to door, reciting your caption to your supposed feral cat killing community.
Sadly, it looks like it’s only a 1-year veterinary suspension and this is followed only by another four years probation. Naturally animal rights groups are shaking their heads at this type of lightweight punishment.
Here’s what the Animal Legal defense fund said about the ruling:
“This slap on the wrist pales in comparison to the egregious felony cruelty that Ms. Lindsey committed against a defenseless cat. Allowing Ms. Lindsey to continue to practice veterinary medicine in the future puts animals in the community at great risk, and taints the good name of the trusted veterinary profession.”
Lindsey’s former employer says they were “appalled” by Lindsey’s actions.
Here’s the full statement:
“We are absolutely appalled, shocked, upset, and disgusted by the conduct. We have parted ways with Ms. Lindsey. We do not allow such conduct and we condemn it in the strongest possible manner,’ the clinic said in the statement.”
Since then, a Facebook page has been created in Tiger’s memory and also in seeking more justice for the innocent cat who was killed by the arrogant sleaze.
The major backlash she received for her sickening actions has forced Lindsey to delete her Facebook account. Unfortunately a grand jury couldn’t come up with enough evidence to charge Lindsey with animal cruelty.
