Meet The Iceman – 5,300-Year-Old and Best Preserved Human Being Ever Found

Hiking Is not only a sport; it’s a hobby too. On the way of the path, they found so many beautiful things. But what may feel if hiker found a dead body through his way?

Helmut and Erika Simon were the hikers who faced such an incident. They both went on a hike in Austro-Italian Alps and founded the dead body of a person. This body looks like a man who recently died because only the lower part was frozen. And it looked like an unfortunate fellow mountaineer who had recently suffered a fatal accident.

So they decided to inform this to the authorities without knowing that they’ve made a historic discovery. After the body was brought to the office of a medical examiner in Innsbruck Austria, test results showed that it was at least 4,000 years old.

The body was the oldest preserved human being who died between 3350 and 3100 B.C. This was called “Otzi the Iceman” and the further investigation revealed that he had fifty tattoos around the body and died around spring or summer.

Quite impressive, right?
