Benjamin was born with autism, which always caused him to feel separated and different from his classmates in school. A school assignment required Benjamin to explain what life is like to be him…and it’s completely heartbreaking.

“I feel like a boy in outer space / I touch the stars and feel out of place,” he writes. “I say I ‘feel like a castaway’ / I dream of a day that thats okay.”
