Swollen glands are a sign that your body is fighting an infection or other type of illness. Tonsils are the two lymph nodes placed on each side of the back of your throat. The function of the tonsils is a defense mechanism. They help in preventing an infection from entering your body. When they become infected, the condition is called tonsillitis.
Here is one recipe for preparing tea if you are dealing with swollen glands or tonsils:
- 2-6 grams of fresh marigold leaves and flowers
- 1 liter of milk
Add 2-6 grams of fresh marigold leaves and flowers in a liter of milk. Cook it over medium heat until the milk is halved. Drink 50 ml of this tea twice daily.
Here is another tea recipe of which you should drink two cups:
- 3 grams of tussilago
- 3 grams of plantago
- 2 grams of wormwood
- 3 grams of sage
- 500 ml of water
Put the plants in water and let them soak for 12 hours. Then, boil the substance in the same water, cover them and leave them in a warm place for 30 more minutes.
External use:
Start by applying sunflower oil (glycerin or walnut oil) on your neck, and continue by applying wraps filled with crushed bitter nuts around your neck.
If you can’t find bitter nuts, place linen cloth wrap soaked in pure alcohol and sprinkled with black pepper and baking soda. Place this towel around your neck and then cover it with a dry and warm cloth. Leave it overnight.
