The firemen turn the charred corpse over. Then time is of the essence.

Safyre Harris is a loving, funny, and sweet 8-year-old girl. Everything seems normal so far, but wait until you cast a glance on her face. For that changes everything.
3 years ago, when Safyre was 5, she was living with her father David, her 3-year-old sister Layah, her brother Micheal (2), and her 11-year-old half-brother Donovan. The 5 were a very happy family.

But their happiness was suddenly shattered after their house suddenly catches on fire. Her entire family died in the fire: her father, her sister, and her two brothers.
When the firemen found the father and rolled his dead body aside, they saw what he was holding in his arms. It was his daughter Safyre, who had survived the inferno thanks to him protecting her with his body.
75 percent of her body was burned and they had to rush her immediately to the hospital. Her aunt, who now takes care of Safyre and who now cares for her in her custody describes the whole ordeal:
"Safyre had countless operations, many more than 50. She had no right hand and in March, 2015 she lost her left food. She still had problems with her mouth because he scars hardened. Her next operation is on January 5th, 2016."

Her neighbors know about the accident and try to support her as much as they can.

And even her friens in school are treating her like any of their other buddies.

But Safyre loves Christmas especially, just like all other kids.

That's where her aunt bought her a very special Christmas tree. This tree lets you hang cards up on it.

Safyre was ecstatic about the tree and wants to cover it completely with cards. But her aunt is a bit skeptical: "Sweeties, that probably won't work. We probably only get about 10 cards a year and the tree has space for over 100."

But then Safyre's aunt had a brilliant idea: she posts something on Facebook and asks her friends and relatives to send her niece a card in the mail. But what no one expected: the post gets over 8,000 likes!
