New Research Says People Who Stay Up Late Are Smarter, Do More Drugs, And Have More Sex

Every day, I rise with the sun. It turns out, according to a study published in the journal Personality and Individual Differencesthat fact makes me super, super square.
That study, which looked at 20,000 people, concluded that people with higher IQs have different sleep cycles. Those with average intelligence sleep have my kind of sleep cycle; early to bed, early to rise.
But people with higher IQs stay up at least a hour later than I do. This has to do with more intelligent people adopting novel behaviors, which is an evolutionary advantage they have that others don’t.
Maybe I need to start having an afternoon cup of coffee…
Additionally, another study found that children with high IQs are more likely to consume and experiment with drugs in their adult lives than people with lower IQs. A person’s background, like socioeconomic status, religion, or family ideology has very little to do with whether or not you will try drugs over the course of your life.
Most interestingly, researchers in the United Kingdom revealed that young people who studied at more rigorous universities like Oxford and Cambridge spent more money on sex toys that an lower ranked universities. Does that link high intelligence and sex drive?
Possibly.
Sex is a stress reliever, and intelligent people are abundant in stress. It makes sense that students at tougher universities would bang it out in an attempt to relieve their stress.
I imagine they also stay up late.
