This woman doesn’t wash her hair with shampoo for 18 months. The result is insane.

Katherine Martinko is a young mother from Ontario. She is a self-sacrificing mother so she doesn't have much time for things like pedicures, manicures, or hair styling. She really only has time to clean her hair: conditioners and other care treatments are not unimaginable.
Kathrine admires her husband's full and healthy hair and is particularly jealous of the time needed to make it that way. For he spends just a fraction of the time that she needs in the bathroom! She starts to ponder and try to think that there must be some secret to his hair.

And it turns out she's on to something! He doesn't just wash his hair much less often than Katherine, every 4 or 5 days, but he cleans it with a very special mix. A mix of apple cider vinegar and baking powder is the secret.

Katherine summons up the courage, despite all doubt, to finally try her husband's trick and begin the experiment.

She is repulsed by the vinegar smell while showering: "The biggest hurdle for me was psychological: I had to get over smelling like salad dressing after washing my hair!"

But as soon as she overcomes this hurdle, Katherine can't help but be astonished: she only has to wash her hair every 4-5 days! Since then, her hair shimmers healthily and is strong. The best: no more bad hair days! The in-need-of-getting-used-to vinegar stench disappears after drying completely.

Here is Katherine's secret, for her long and luscious red hair: 2 tablespoons of baking powder into a pint glass (16 oz or 500 ml) mixed with warm water and poured onto the hair. Then 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar into a glass and mixed with warm water again. The whole thing onto the hair again, and thoroughly wash out.

The pH level of the alkaline in the vinegar opens the hair structure while removing fat and dirt. The apple cider vinegar closes the hair again through its acidic pH value, capturing moisture. And indeed long term.  Various opinions have been circulating around the internet about this method, but for Katherine it's already clear: she's never going to wash her hair any other way again!
