In front of the zoo in the English city of Bristol is a parking lot for 150 cars and 8 tour busses. One nice man has kept guard and collected parking fees for 25 years. A car spot costs about $1.40 and a bus spot about $7.
But one day, after not missing a single day of work in 25 years, the man doesn’t appear. So the zoo management calls the city administration and asks for a substitute.
The officials look into and reply that the administration of the parking lot is the zoo’s responsibility. No, they respond, the man was a city employee.
The city answered that they had never hired anyone for this job.
Sitting somewhere on the coast of Spain, is a man who made $560 a day for 25 years. That’s $7 million. Not bad!
