Everyone In The World Wants Asher To Become The New Face Of OshKosh.

Whenever I go to the mall, those big advertisements and posters plastered outside baby apparel stores always bring a smile to my face. And they make me think how hard the model kids’ parents probably worked to make their little toddler the face of a brand.

My thoughts were put into perspective when I actually heard the news of Asher and his mother Meagan Richter Nash; the 27-year-old mother of two had submitted pictures of her son Asher to an agency in Georgia, for him to be considered for the new face of OshKosh, the kids’ clothing line.

But the response that came back from the agency disheartened the young mom—they said the company wasn’t looking for children with special needs; 15-month-old Asher has Down Syndrome. It’s then that Meagan decided to do something to bring more attention to children with special needs.

Asher is a beautiful little toddler who is so full of life, as we can clearly see from these adorable images he posed for, for an exclusive photo shoot to be submitted to OshKosh for the contest in question. When his mom got the reply, she made up her mind to speak with the company once before they take Asher out of the race for good.

She posted a picture of Asher on the “Changing the Face of Beauty” Facebook page which ended up going viral for all the right reasons. She later told CBS News that, “I would love for OshKosh to meet my son and see what we see in him. I don’t want them to use him because of this fuss we are making on the Internet; I want them to use him because they value him and see how much he could contribute to their advertisement.”

Well, they’re efforts paid off and OshKosh planned a meeting with the entire family to speak about Asher and the images that the talent agency had rejected.
