His Previous Owners Starved Him Almost To Death, But He Recovered To Walk His Rescuer Down The Aisle!

William the dog was abused by the cruel couple, Christopher Rushton and Kirsty Hales. They bought him after seeing him advertised on the internet, but they had no idea how to look after the pet. After several months of suffering, William was spotted by the RSPCA Inspectors and taken away from the terrible owners.

They admitted they caused harm to the dog and got the punishment — 35 hours of unpaid work and the ban from keeping any pets for life.

Nicky Foster, the RSPCA Inspector, said that William looked like a walking skeleton. “He is the thinnest dog I have seen in the ten years I have been an inspector. You can see every single bone in his body,” she said.

He weighed only 6.5lbs instead of 22lbs. He couldn‘t stand on his legs and had to be constantly wrapped in a blanket to stay warm.

In September 2015, William was adopted by Rachel Butler. And her love and care have fully transformed the pooch. He gained weight and learned to trust people. Now he is healthy, happy and even got to walk his owner down the aisle at her wedding!
He had his own outfit – a tweed collar and a bow tie!

“Having William at the ceremony made us both feel so proud at how far he has come,” Butler said.
We are so happy it all ended well for this amazing doggy!
