In 1997, long before Octomom become a pop-culture phenomenon, one family made headlines for their miracle babies. On November 19th the world’s first set of septuplets who survived their infancy are turning 18 and recently the Today show took them to an emotional trip down the memory lane.
The McCaughey siblings were born 9 weeks prematurely and immediately became media darlings. Mom and dad were featured on the cover of the Time magazine and President Clinton personally called to say congratulations but unlike some TV families, they never let the fame disrupt their lives.
