You can almost hear the one lizard say to the other, “c’mon man, you got this.”
He didn’t want to interfere in his buddies battle and had confidence that he would be able to get out of the snakes rear naked choke. But the snake just kept putting it in tighter and tighter, and the lizard’s buddy had no choice but to intervene and break it up. Not without taking some serious pissed off strikes from the snake though. Looked like he got in there just in the nick of time as his buddy was looking to be headed to permanent sleep very soon!
