News was published in the recent past by CNN about the incident of tapeworm being found in a human brain. The incident occurred in 2013 in Britain which involved a main who had travelled to China. Though a surprising thing altogether, it has really happened and the reason behind this is more surprising. Doctors are of the opinion that some common food habits are the real cause behind the worm in brain.

Not only in human beings, but these parasites harm animals like cats and dogs. They cause an infection called sparganosis in animals. Pig muscles even get infected by Spirometra Erinaceieuropaei and Taenia Solium, types of tape worms.
