WIFE JOLTED AWAKE WHEN SHE REALIZES HUSBAND DIDN’T COME TO BED. THEN SHE REMEMBERS HE FILLED UP HER GAS TANK…

As a busy wife and mother of two little girls, Brie Gowen rarely gets a night of uninterrupted sleep. So, imagine her surprise when she actually woke up feeling rested the other morning.
While speaking with IJ Lift, Gowen explained that she was jolted awake recently and discovered that her husband was not in their bed.
“The side of the bed to my left was empty. In fact it was untouched,” she wrote. “That side of the bed was still tidily made, and that told me two things. One, I really had slept like a rock. And two, my husband had not come to bed at all last night.”
Then Gowen remembered all the small gestures he’d been doing to make her feel loved lately, like filling up her gas tank.
“Yet he wasn’t in my bed,” she said.
It wasn’t until Gowen got up to go to the bathroom that she finally realized why her husband hadn’t come to bed the night before.
“There on the living room floor lay my husband, surrounded by three girls, and one of them was actually sprawled out across his chest,” she recalled.
To make sure Mom got a good night’s sleep, Gowen’s husband, Benjamin, had put together a little slumber party with their girls in the living room.
Instantly, a wave of gratitude washed over her and she was suddenly beyond thankful for everything her husband does to make her happy.
“I had slept hard, and good. I had drove to work with plenty in my gas tank, and I had arrived on time. But mostly I had walked into work feeling loved and appreciated,” Gowen said.
She went on to tell IJ Lift how these small acts of love fuel her marriage and help keep the spark alive in their relationship.
“My husband and I work to communicate on all issues, make time together alone, without the children, and are quick to praise the other spouse’s efforts,” Gowen said.
