Orphaned Cub Rescued By Russian Couple, But They Never Expected 300 Pound Bear To Become Part Of The Family.
23-years-ago Svetlana and Yuriy Panteleenko of Russia gained a family member… but not one that they ever expected to welcome. Two hunters, friends of the Panteleenko’s, brought a bear cub to their doorstep and asked if they would take the little one in.
In the absence of wildlife rehab programs and no mother in the area, the Panteleenko’s agreed to do their best to rear the small one. Little did they know then, but their surprise guest would change their lives forever.
The couple adopted Stepan when when was a three month old orphaned cub.
Weak and alone, he was found by hunters in the forest.
But Svetlana and Yuriy nurtured him back to health.
The now 23-year-old bear is a loving and peaceful goofball!

The bear eats 25 kg of fish, vegetables, and eggs every day!
And after a big meal he loves to cuddle.
The gentle giant manages to stay in shape thanks to his love for games outdoors.
But there’s nothing like snuggling with his humans.
