Vaginal odor is a condition in which the affected person suffers from a bad odor that originates from the vagina.
According to the Mayo Clinic, vaginal odor can vary throughout female’s menstrual cycle and may be especially noticeable right after sexual intercourse. Normal sweating can also cause vaginal odor.
It is normal for your vagina to have a slight odor since it is an opening into the body, but a lingering “fishy” smell could be indicative of a more serious underlying problem.
If you see some flow of white or yellow color, burning and irritation, itching and vaginal odor, that may indicate some vaginal infection.
Bacterial vaginosis and trichomoniasis (a sexually transmitted disease) are the most common vaginal infections that cause vaginal odor. Chlamydia infections and gonorrhea do not usually cause vaginal odors. Nor fungal infections.
A PROPER USE OF BAKING SODA AGAINST VAGINAL ODOR
When the pH level is in equilibrium, the problem of vaginal odor dissipates.
Simply add 1/2 cup of baking soda in the bathwater.
Soak your lower body in it for about 15-20 minutes.
Dry thoroughly with a clean towel.
This also treats yeast infections and immediately eliminates vaginal odor.
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
Apple cider vinegar contains antibacterial and antiseptic properties. This will help fight toxins and bacteria that cause bad vaginal odor.
It will also help restore the acidic quality of vaginal flora.
Add two cups of apple cider vinegar in hot bath water.
Soak in it for about 20 minutes.
Do this several times a week for quick results.
You can also drink a glass of water mixed with one or two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar daily.
