BREAKING NEWS !! 10 People Killed, More Than 20 Injured in Oregon College Shooting: Gun Control Is On The Works !!

suspected gunman was detained Thursday after reportedly killing 10 people at Oregon’s Umpqua Community College, sources told CNN.
Preliminary information indicated 10 people were killed and more than 20 were injured at the college, Oregon State Police spokesman Bill Fugate told CNN. The college is in the small city of Roseburg in Southern Oregon.
The shooter was believed to have been detained, Fugate said.
Portland television station KATU initially reported state police said 15 people were killed, but later tweeted there were seven to 10 fatalities.
First responders found “multiple patients in multiple classrooms,” Douglas County Fire Marshal Ray Shoufler told CNN. He said multiple people had died, but he didn’t have an exact number.
Student Lacey Gregory told Portland television station KOIN that she was in the library when the shooting occurred. Officers issued her and other students to a safe zone, Gregory said.
“It was really scary,” Gregory said, speaking live on air by phone. “Our hands went over our heads as we walked out in a single-file line. … We just stood there and prayed to God that we were going to make it.”
She spoke from the county fairgrounds, where authorities took students and college staff. The Red Cross was present, she told KOIN.
Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg tweeted that the hospital accepted nine patients from the shooting, and three more were en route. Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend, in Springfield, about 70 miles from the campus, said two victims had arrived and three more were expected.
The Douglas County Fire District No. 2 first tweeted about the shooting around 10:45 a.m.
The fire department later stated there were multiple casualties. The district tweeted just before 11:30 a.m. that the active shooter scene was “code 4,” meaning no further emergency response was needed, and all patients had been transported.
Officials with the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were at the scene, according to a bureau tweet. FBI agents were also headed to Roseburg.
Roseburg, with about 22,000 residents, is about 175 miles south of Portland off the 5 Freeway.
The college is on a hill outside of the city center, according to CNN military analyst Rick Francona, who lives nearby. The area is fairly rural but accessible because of the nearby interstate, he told the network.
“This is so out of character for this whole area,” he said.
