They slit the thrashing animal’s throat and then picked up a metal bar. What for? I’m never buying this stuff again.

Warning: This video contains images that some viewers may find disturbing.

The animal protection organization PETA has for years denounced the torture of crocodiles on a leather farm in Vietnam. Now they've produced a shocking video showing the brutal extent of the cruelty to these creatures, whom we may fear in the wild but who live here in helpless captivity.

If you want to help stop the torture of these crocodiles (and many other animals), you can support PETA by writing to Bernard Arnault. He's the majority shareholder of the fashion companies Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton, which are responsible for a large part of the demand for crocodile skin. He's therefore in a position to demand that they stop being exploited and treated so brutally. PETA prepared a petition you can sign to speak out against this cruel treatment of animals.

But more importantly, it's a real wake-up call for all of us to think about where our products come from, how they're manufactured, and who might be being harmed along the way!
